Wow! How soon we forget what a miracle the Lord preformed in Elizabeth's life. To see her running around as a two year old is a prime example of God's mercy and grace. The Lord has continued to make our family aware of His perfect will in the subsequent births of our children, all of which has spent time in the NICU. Because of our frequent visits, the NCCC of UNC holds a special place in my heart. I have recently joined the Family Advisory Board to help other families going through what seems to be the impossible. Being a part of the FAB has opened up many opportunities to help out and get involved.
One of the ways is to raise money through the March of Dimes "March for Babies." Elizabeth and I will be participating this year by walking 3.1 miles on Saturday, April 19th in order to raise money for the March of Dimes. "The money we raise helps save premature and sick babies. Premature birth is the #1 cause of newborn death and the biggest threat to babies’ health today, and through March for Babies, the March of Dimes is funding important research to find out why premature birth happens and what can be done to prevent it."
Our family has set a goal of $300.00 for the walk. Teaming up with March of Dimes in their research not only is a way to help out with the research, but a way to minister to many families like ours.
