What's been going on around here? Well, this pregnancy has wiped me out for several weeks. There have been numerous days where I don't even have the energy to sit. That's no fun with little ones running around and they are into everything. Jacob has started crawling, and along with that...boy does he have an appitite. He eats all day long. He has been eating solids for some time now, but is enjoying table foods and also I've started supplementing with a bit of formula too. Get this, last night the big kids wouldn't eat so they had to go to be hungry. Jacob ate his helping of corn, green beans, and potatoes...then he at all of EBD's and ALD's green beans and potatoes, then nursed well and took 4 oz. of formula before hitting the bed. Not only has Jacob begun to crawl, I heard Jacob stirring after a nap in the pack-n-play, and looked over to find him standing and rocking back and forth (this was in the bassinet part). I prayed that he would not fall out as I made it across the room.
Andrew is talking up a storm. The one thing that surprised me the most was when he said, "Ike at". I thought, what did he just say? Then I put it together with what I was doing, and he was telling me he wanted his banana "like that" - in the peel, not cut up on his plate. There have also been a couple of 3 word sentences: "Wet, stroller, side." (Wet stroller outside) and "No, more, momma" (I was getting his tickles!)
Elizabeth is just adorable. She is growing up so fast. She has started pretending a lot, and it is so cute to hear her singing while she plays. She can sing, "Bah, Bah, Black Sheep", "Rock A Bye Baby", "ABC's", "Happy Birthday", and maybe some other ones. We've started talking about her transition out of therapy (she ages out at 3 years). I hate to loose her Developmental Therapist, but when we do loose her we gain an awesome babysitter!!! So, I'd say the pay off is great!!! Apparently Durham Public Schools will pick up therapy from there until she starts school. I hope that we can use December/End of the year as a big transition time. I have started looking at preschools in the area. It is an overwhelming task, and I pray that the Lord would continue to guide our family as we decide on schooling in general for our children.
Coming soon...I'm scheduled for my Cerclauge surgery on Oct. 21. We will be leaving that weekend to go spend a week in the Mountains of NC with all of Jonathan's family! The kids are looking forward to playing with their cousins for a week, and the adults are looking forward to a week without a lot to do. We will be staying at Rand Cottage (our church's cottage at Ridge Crest) there is no phone or tv. Praise the Lord! The girls plan to scrapbook while there and the boys plan on camping out at least one night nearby.
I'll try to post some updated pictures soon, but didn't have time at the moment...so i thought I'd at least tell you what's been going on.
