Vacation - Part 1

Thank you Mom, Dad and Brittany for keeping the big kids while we went to Hawaii!

Here was our itinerary before we ever got to Hawaii. Let's see. Spend 5 days driving around the nation to see everyone we wanted to see that we only get to see maybe once a year, and we still didn't get to see everyone. We flew into Little Rock, spent the night nearby, drove to Louisiana, spent the night, drove to Dallas, spent the night, then drove back to Little Rock and headed to Hawaii!!!

Just for future clarification, Jonathan DOES NOT work for IHOP. He just happens to be on the IHOP team at work and the firm he works for is the Corporate Architect for IHOP.

Our Airplane Ride...Let the fun begin!!!

Cookout and Joint Birthday Celebration with the Rosinbaum side of the family!

Talk about redneck birthday candles!

Jonathan and his brother Jordan chow on some burgers!

When my nephew saw Jordan he said "You look like a pirate!"

The kids enjoys cake and ice cream!

Dad and Dan horsing around like little kids!

"Silly Papaw! Look at how he strapped me in!"

The kids are sacked out after the first day of travel.

Jacob enjoys time with Meemaw

A special visit with Mamaw Lee in the nursing home. A funny thing happened as the guys were about to wheel her back to her room. Jonathan and Lee were looking for a foot rest so Mamaw's feet wouldn't drag the floor. When they pulled up the chair's "foot rest"...well it was totally attached to the chair itself, and Mamaw's upper body when flying back. She was ok, but I imagine a bit sore too!

Yo, Dude, you should feel the wind down here in LA...Hurricane Gustav must be coming!

The kids enjoy their first 4 wheeler ride around Uncle Butch's house.

Well, I think that Jacob is going to be a bit like Jonathan. I hear stories of Jonathan as a young boy sitting with the adults absorbing every little thing instead of being off with the kids playing. We must have been having a deep conversation.

So, we thought he was listening to us, but he was contemplating his next move. Do you see the look in his eye as he gently YANKS the little dogs ear?

Nothing like Mamaw 'Pree sugars - Oh so sweet!

Those crazy teenage drivers...I think we should up the driving age limit a few years. Actually, Brittany (my little sister) did a great job driving - she's studying for her permit right now!

Elizabeth saw Granny Nett hang the towels on the line to dry, and of course she ran inside to find something to hang on the line too. It was too cute.

You can see what Andrew was up to while Elizabeth was hanging her laundry out!

I must be pretty cute, have you noticed how many sugars I have gotten so far? These sugars are as sweet as Texas Tea! Thanks Granny Nett!

It's too bad we only get to see each other once a year. This is my friend Crystal. She and I graduated high school together. We picked her up from her apartment so she could go to Target with us. We also had nachos and a hot dog and then she helped me pick out a new stroller for baby Jacob!
