Vacation - Part 2

WE FINALLY MADE IT TO HAWAII.
As you can tell, it was hot, so the last leg of the flight, Jacob lost his clothes.

Mommy was playing peekaboo with me from the back seat!

Thank you IHOP for picking such beautiful places to hold your National Conventions!!!
This was the spectacular view we saw while at the welcome reception our first night in HI.

Jacob and I enjoy a boat ride around the lagoon at the resort.

Those were a few things we saw while on the boat!

Jacob enjoys a few hours at the pool!

So, if one was rich, they would pay the $200.00 to swim with the dolphins. As for myself, I decided to hang by little boy who was clapping and making noises to entertain the dolphins so I could get a closer look - FOR FREE!

I got to celebrate my 29th birthday in HI, and I 'd like to take this time to thank IHOP for the HUGE party they threw for me. An all inclusive Sock Hop! Decorations, food, dancing, a band and get this - A BABYSITTER TOO! We had a lot of fun! They of course had all my favorites: Twinkies, Mini Burgers, Snow Balls, Ding Dong's, Milkshakes, Fries...You'd think I was pregnant they way I ate that night...funny thing is...as soon as we got home...I found out I WAS INDEED PREGNANT! HORRAY! (More on that subject ANOTHER time).

My party was great!

This here is the view from our room! You could actually watch the kids play with the dolphins just over that white fence.

After breakfast one morning, I saw some boys playing near the waters edge. Upon investigation, I found that they were feeding this precious turtle bagels and bread. Turtles are my favorite animals, so I got ton of pictures...I won't bore you with those.

This is one of a couple of beautiful birds in the lobby of the resort. There was a sign posted under each one that said, "I've been known to snatch jewelry!"

Jonathan finally got to enjoy a boat ride with Jacob and I.

Well, Hello Jacob!

We enjoyed one last meal together at the resort before heading home...Breakfast buffet. It was very nice...when we got the bill...it was a little TOO NICE - $30.00 a person...EEEEKKK. Oh, well, we only live once, and who would ever think about complaining when they saw Baked Salmon on the breakfast buffet!!!

Jonathan was so smart to book us a (supposed to be) all day layover in Honoluou so we could eat, shop, and play! Our flight off the Big Island was delayed a couple of hours though. Oh, well.

Jonathan is standing in front of a restaurant that his company did the plans for!

Look at the light blue shirt on the left with the VW Bus. This is the shirt we got for my brother Jeff. The shirt reads: "The weather is here. I wish you were beautiful!" Anybody who knows Jeff knows that is something he would say!

Knowing there was an 8 hour flight back to the mainland, Jacob decided it would be best to go ahead and get his caffeine intake for the day!

Jacob did great on the flights! Except for the one time that the knocked over a coke on a little girl and her mom while they were trying to sleep!

While back in Arkansas between flights, we thought it was only fair of us to eat at IHOP before heading home. Were we nuts or what...6 kids under age 5...a couple of jetlagged people, and well, need I say more.

Here are all the cousins - Elizabeth, Christian (holding Jacob), Faith, Andrew, and Asher!

Must be nice to be a kid. I think I need a vacation from vacation!

Thanks, IHOP we'll see you next year in Boca Raton, FL!!!

It is such an adenture to travel with children, we have fun with it too when we have to fly with them. Looks like you had so much fun, and I am so excited for you guys on #4. And the shirt you got for Jeff does sound like him.

Misty, loved your pictures, still laughing at your great shots. My favourite is your kids in carseats. Can I be a kid now? I agree about the vacation from vacation, In His Joy, Zhanara
