After meeting with the NCCC Drs. this morning, the decision was made to begin weaning Jacob off of the OxyHood and also he get to begin tube feedings. They also requested another X-Ray to see the condition of his lungs. After looking at the X-Ray the Drs. hope to determine with more certainty if Jacob has Respiratory Distress Syndrom (which Andrew had) or he was just born with a little extra fluid on his lungs. They've got him on a 48hr. dose of antibiotics until we get the x-ray results. After that reading they will determine if they need to keep him longer for a 7 day dose of antibiotics.
We're expecting to once again leave the hospital WITHOUT our little one, but we trust that the Lord is in control and knows what is best for our family! I now have internet access in the room so I should be able to get another update out to you all later on this evening when we have the x-ray results.
