Answers FINALLY!!!

Praise the Lord! We now know what has been going on with Jacob. He has Pneumonia. Putting him on C-PAP opened up his lungs and helped clear out all the newborn lung mucus revealing the true culprit. This being said he will remain in the NICU for 10-14 days to take antibiotics via IV. It is most likely that he caught it from the Birth Canal. Apparently baby's can get Pneumonia in a form other than the airborne version that adults would get. Interesting huh?

Our biggest prayer now is that the antibiotics will begin to take immediate effect and he will be able to come home at the supposed time. Please pray that my body would heal quickly and I will be able manage home and hospital for the next few weeks. I truly know the Lord had His hand upon my delivery - you see, I only pushed for 25min and didn't tear - which means a much quicker and easier recovery has already begun and I feel great! Please also pray for quick milk production as he will begin eating soon, and mother's milk would help him better than any formula at this point!!!
